  • Take apart, grease, and reassemble a standard cup-and-cone hub

  • Diagnose common hub-related issues like wheel wobble or excessive friction

  • Inspect hubs and determine if they need to be adjusted or serviced

  • Adjust your hubs to allow your wheels to spin more freely and last longer

  • Do you want to learn how to true a wheel at some point? Then you’ll need to learn how  to fix a hub first!

No experience is necessary. If you have a wheel with a hub that needs some love feel free to bring it, otherwise we have plenty of wheels that the shop to learn on.

CLOSED Due to Poor Air Quality

Tuesday, 11/20/18 UPDATE:

The Bad News: As smoke continues to settle downtown and keep the Air Quality Index in the Unhealthy range, we will not be open tonight.

The Good News: Forecasts show improved air quality for Wednesday, 11/21/18, so we will be able to reopen Wednesday at 6pm for one more shift before we are closed for the Thanksgiving holiday weekend.

*****************************************************************

SBK will be closed today and will not re-open until the air quality improves. Due to the many factors affecting how long the smoke will hang out, we cannot predict when we will be able to re-open but will update or remove this post when we are able to resume regular shop hours.

Thank you for your understanding.
