We had a bunch of folks come out and help clean the shop up. We spent around 4 hours cleaning the space and surrounding property up. The mattress is gone! Yippee! Thanks go out to everyone that was involved. Here is a short list of things we got done:

Gather all scrap metal behind the shop

Remove metal storage shelf and locker

Remove the florescent lenses

Remove the tree under the AC unit

Brainstorm locking back nook, wheel storage and boarding up inside doors

Cleanup the backyard

Cleanup trash and leaves near the RR tracks

Prop up the pylons separating the parking lot from the RR tracks

Remove the cabinet doors

Tied up the ivy against the wall where it was falling down

This is the first of many cleanup days. The beautiful ivy that covers the building is one thing that will require periodic maintenance. There has been a graffiti problem in the area also that we’ll have to keep up on. Not to mention the garbage and debris outside.

Again, thanks go out to everyone that came out and helped. You’re awesome.

BTW, there are more photos on our gallery.
