ATTN:Bicyclette! Update

We will NOT be having our regularly scheduled Bicyclette! night this coming Monday (April 16th). Our head female mechanic moved away, so we need to regroup and figure out staffing issues for this event. In the mean time, Bicyclette! will take the form of Third Thursdays Ladies free! That’s right, the shop fee will be waived for female/gay/transgender individuals on the Third Thursday of the month until further notice. Please spread the word.

New classes

We’ll keep the notifications quick this time.  First off, SBK’s resident gentleman mechanic, O.G., will be hosting a Basic Maintenance course on Saturday, March 31, from 10:00 am to 11:30 pm.  Learn all about flat fixing, checking your brakes and derailleurs, and cleaning your chain.

Second, our primary Ryan, Ryan Drobek, will be running a class on Saturday, April 21 at 10:00 am.  This will be an Introduction to Bike Tools, so if you’ve always wondered what that thing with the spring was called or when to use a chain whip, this is your class.

These classes are free, though we do suggest a $5 donation as a show of public support and to help us keep our lights on.  Seating is limited, so e-mail clas...@sacbikekitchen.org to reserve your place!
