Why donate
Why should you donate to the Sacramento Bicycle Kitchen? Being bike enthusiasts we know how hard it can be to get rid of old bike gear. But imagine the second life that old bike or new tool (or money 
could have in the hands of a new owner. When you donate to us you know that it will lead a full second life (see the section below on what we do with donations if you aren’t sure).
Not only are we doing great things at the Sacramento Bicycle Kitchen but we are also an official 501(c)(3) non-profit! So, all of your donations are tax deductible!
The Sacramento Bicycle Kitchen is run by volunteers. Our revenue is generated solely by donations. Without your kindness and generosity we wouldn’t be around.
How to donate
If you have something small (less than a couple bikes or a few parts and tools) just come on down to the SBK during our open hours and we’ll give you a receipt for your donation.
If you would like to make a larger donation, send a message to the donation coordinator and let them know what you’d like to give us.
What to donate
We prefer working bikes, parts, and tools. For a complete list of exactly what we need please check out our wishlist. We are also happy to accept money donations in the form of cash or check. The best donation to make is actually of the greatest value to both you and us: your time! This place stays afloat by people that spend their free time helping others. Please consider giving us some of that expensive time of yours.

Check out our calendar for our hours. You can bring acceptable items to donate down to the shop anytime during open hours.
