Community

Just as one man does not a village make, one non-profit bike collective does not a thriving bicycle community make.

We’re doing our part to make Sacramento a bicyclist’s Mecca, but we’re only a part of a greater whole. Pro-bicycle political advocacy, a wealth of bicycle shops, specialized vendors, bicycle-promoting events, and just getting more people on bikes — for racing or groceries — are all necessary to expand the bicycle community.

If possible, check out Sacramento’s wonderful local bike shops before you buy parts and accessories online. If you’ve got nothing to do, see if there are any good races or club parties you can attend. Get involved with your local advocacy group. If you’ve got an event coming up, ask us for help.  We bike lovers are in this together.
