July 10 at the Bike Kitchen. Once again, we have an awesome show for you. Alkali Flats, who had their ‘last show’ at the Bike Kitchen last year, are back and better than ever, and they’re bringing Mae McCoy and Neon Stars. Come down, have some beer and wear your dancing shoes. Party at starts at 6, music at 7.

*Unfortunately, Two Sheds will no longer be able to play on 2nd Saturday. Low Red Land and Dame Satan are still coming out, so stop by, have a beer, and cut a rug!

November’s Second Saturday party at the Bicycle Kitchen is going to invite you aboard the Good Vibes Express. Enjoy good beer, live music from Low Red Land and Dame Satan, and a rocking good time at Sacramento’s favorite volunteer-run bike shop! Party starts at 7:00 PM.

Thank you to the SBMA, New Humans, Pets, Bike Kitchen volunteers and everyone who came out for the incredible event last weekend! Thanks to everyone who attended and donated, the SBMA has funds to plan the Turkey Day Ride and raise money for Bikes to Rwanda.

Fundraiser for Bikes to Rwanda

The Sacramento Bicycle Messenger Association is organizing this year’s Turkey Day Ride, and will be donating the proceeds to Bikes To Rwanda. They will be holding a fundraiser for the upfront costs of the ride at the Bike Kitchen on Saturday October 10.

As usual, there will be beer and jams and more smiles than you’ll know what to do with. Come shake a tail feather for a good cause.

6pm to 7pm- volunteer orientation: learn about the mission of SBK, how
we came to be and what we hope to promote within our community and the
shop. folks who would like to sign up as a volunteer on an ongoing
basis should attend this meeting to learn the expectations for clerk
and mechanic positions, along with a ‘tour’ of the shop’s finer points
and a tool demo/class for those interested in learning more.

On August 8 we will be showing the art of Daniel Aguilar and will have music from Flounder and Art Lessing and the Flower Vato. Come have a drink, enjoy local art and music, and help keep the shop open!
