SBK Coordinators
So, here we have our coordinators (board members). If you need help with anything specific, please contact the coordinator most likely to have what you’re looking for. If you’re interested in helping out with any of these tasks, please contact the coordinator and get signed up.
1. Events coordinator:
Responsible for planning SBK-sponsored or co-sponsored events such as movie nights, rides, concerts/shows, fund-raisers, participation in community festivals, etc. This coordinator is responsible for generating some ideas and eliciting ideas from others. Events coordinator has the support of fellow coordinators/board members but is the key point of contact for events.
2. Outreach coordinators:
These two are responsible for participating in community meetings and engaging other neighborhood groups, cycling clubs, volunteer organizations, non-profits, etc. to promote the goals, mission, and general positive vibe of the SBK. If members or coordinators are approached to attend a meeting – these dudes are the points of contact, and can delegate attendance of meetings/events to others. It is Dave’s and Chris’ chief roles to be a conduits of the SBK to other groups and both promote externally and relay information internally.
3. Volunteer coordinator:
John is responsible for setting up the on-line SBK shift calendar, answering the volunteer@sacbikekitchen.org email address, assessing volunteer gaps and volunteer skills based on replies to the Volunteer Information Form (or VIF).
4. Donation coordinator:

Donations coordinator is responsible for triaging large donations, answering donation questions big and small from the public, and drumming up larger donations from the community incl. other bicycle organizations and/or bike shops.
5. On-line coordinator:
Ezra is in charge of improving the SBK’s website by maintaining accurate, up-to-date content and improve functionality of the website in some areas. He also works to exchange links and promote the SBK electronically to other bike coops statewide, and nationally.
6. Program coordinator:
Owen is the main point of contact for any programs that SBK plans to launch. Program = goal-focused time-limited, or long-term efforts sustained by the shop internally or with external partners that is above and beyond the normal operation of the shop and may occur outside the normal shop hours.
7. Public information officer:
Needed
Public information officer is the point-of-contact for all media inquiries, print, television, etc. He works on producing the newsletter with volunteer(s) as available.
8. Shop manager/coordinator:
John is responsible for knowing what the shop needs and is running low on, organizing the list of parts, and making the parts orders to our collaborative bike shop partners. He makes recommendations as to use of space in the shop for customers and display areas.
9. Bookkeeper:
Rose keeps the SBK books, processes weekly deposits, tracks money for tax purposes, and prepares and maintain a running log of SBK’s finances.
